5 C’s & 5 D’s
Atmano Mokshardam Jagat Hitaya Cha
Our founder emphasises that educational institutions should not only focus on academic achievements but also on the holistic development of students. By fostering qualities like duty, devotion, discipline, discrimination, and detachment, institutions and individuals alike can contribute to a more enlightened, compassionate, and harmonious society.
The 5Cs (leading to Charity- jagat hitaya) and 5Ds (leading to divinity-Atmano mokshartham) approach integrates spiritual values with practical needs, aiming to create environments where both students and institutions can thrive. The focus on devotion and continuous improvement reflects an understanding that true success involves both personal and collective growth.
Five C’s of Institutional Culture
- Concern: Caring about the well-being of each other within the institution.
- Cleanliness: Maintaining a clean environment and personal habits.
- Communication: Practicing effective, timely, and truthful communication.
- Collaboration: Working together harmoniously, setting aside individual egos for collective success.
- Continuous Improvement: Striving to learn and grow daily, aiming for personal and institutional betterment.
Five D’s of Individual Values
- Duty (Dharma): Recognizing and fulfilling one’s responsibilities with dedication. Dharma is crucial for maintaining societal harmony and personal integrity.
- Devotion: Performing duties with a sense of love for the Divine, turning work into a form of worship. Devotion enhances the quality of one’s actions and aligns them with a higher purpose.
- Discipline: Cultivating self-control and consistency, both externally (Yama) and internally (Niyama), as outlined in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.
- Discrimination: Developing the ability to distinguish between what is beneficial and detrimental, and acting accordingly. Discrimination is essential for making wise choices and leading a purposeful life.
- Detachment: Letting go of attachments to outcomes and material possessions, focusing instead on higher spiritual goals. Detachment helps in maintaining inner peace and avoiding distractions.
In essence, our founder’s vision is about transforming education into a more meaningful and spiritually fulfilling journey, one that aligns with the higher purpose of individual and societal betterment.
