Inspired by the ancient Indian way of education that caters to all aspects of human development with spiritual evolution at its very core, the Prashanthi Balamandira Trust®, Chikkaballapur has established the Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence at Navanihal Village, Kamalapur Taluk, Kalaburagi District in Karnataka (a Private University established under Karnataka Legislative Act 2018). The University encapsulates values-based integral education in a unique residential environment, with the core idea to create individual excellence in all fields of knowledge with spirituality as its foundation. Based on the ancient Indian Gurukulam System of Education, the University shall promote and propagate the fields of Science, Humanities, all forms of fine arts, and the supreme knowledge derived from the field of spirituality, all completely free of any charges, to all students without any discrimination.

After my father, a daily wage worker, passed away due to illness, my mother became the only one supporting our family. Even though we faced financial difficulties, the institution’s support made sure that my education never stopped. I am truly grateful that I could continue my studies without putting any burden on my mother. The college’s generosity has inspired me to give back and help other children by sharing the gift of education. I am living proof of how this institution changes lives and empowers students from all backgrounds.

I am Bhargavi, from a small village called Uttraspally. My mother works as a Swachh Bharat sweeper and has been our family’s strength since my father passed away. Raising three children on her own has been really tough for her. Getting into Sri Sathya Sai Prashanthi Niketanam has given my mother hope for a better future for me. The free value-based education here is not just teaching me subjects but also shaping my character and making me a responsible and caring person. I am very thankful for this opportunity. I dream of becoming a classical dancer and want to share this gift with others like me.

Student life

Daily routine on campus.
The day begins and ends with a prayer. The morning sessions in the University begins with the universal prayer, based on the unity of religions. Community singing of Bhajan in the hostels is held every evening. Before retiring for the night, students sit around the altar in their respective accommodation and chant prayers dedicating all their day’s activity to the Divine.

Students have the opportunity to listen to their fellow students, teachers and many important guests on the campus. These guests include men and women who have attained great success in their respective fields – ministers, administrators, industrialists, judges, ambassadors, entrepreneurs, artists and sports persons, amongst others. When students interact with these guests they imbibe the values and importance of the path of devotion to God and the path of goodness and godliness. In addition, weekly study circle sessions take place where spiritual questions are raised and answered.

Performing Arts

Performing Arts nurture creativity, self-expression, and confidence through music, dance, and theater. At SSSPNK, students explore their artistic potential while building essential life skills and cultural appreciation. More : Engaging in performing arts at SSSPNK fosters holistic development in children by enhancing their creativity, emotional intelligence, and self-confidence. Through dance, they learn discipline, rhythm, and physical coordination, while music sharpens their auditory skills and emotional expression. Participation in theater cultivates communication, teamwork, and empathy as they step into diverse roles. These experiences not only allow students to explore their artistic potential but also help them develop resilience, self-esteem, and a deeper appreciation for culture and tradition, shaping them into well-rounded individuals.

We are a part of the Prashanthi Bala Mandira Trust, dedicated to providing free holistic education to underprivileged children and youths in rural India. Our college, affiliated with the Board of NIOS, offers Secondary (9th) and Senior Secondary courses (11th and 12th standard) and focuses on empowering students with a curriculum that includes subjects based on their interests and merit.
