Rural coming back to Rural

Social Investment in Rural Girl Child and be a Changemaker

Our ancient scriptures state that education, nutrition, and health care are fundamental rights of every citizen. However, the modern commercialization of these essential services has led to the deprivation of these rights, especially among the lower strata of society. We, as an institution, are dedicated to providing the fundamental right of education, particularly to girls in rural areas.
सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः।
सर्वे भद्राणि पश्यन्तु मा कश्चिद्दुःखमाप्नुयात्॥

May all be happy; may all be free from disease.
May all experience auspiciousness; may no one suffer.
This shloka from the Yajurveda conveys the universal wish for the well-being, health, and happiness of all individuals. It underscores the ideal that health (nirāmayāḥ) and happiness (sukhinaḥ) should be universally accessible, emphasising the collective responsibility to ensure these fundamental aspects of life are available to everyone.

In our holistic education model, we believe that health, education, and nutrition are fundamental rights of every human being. Our commitment is to provide these essential services for free, ensuring that every individual, especially the rural girl child, receives the comprehensive support they need to thrive. Inspired by the wisdom of the Yajurveda, “May all be happy; may all be free from disease,” we strive to create a world where every child has access to the knowledge, health care, and nutrition necessary for a fulfilling and prosperous life.

Investing in the education of rural girls transforms not just individual lives but entire communities. Our holistic, value-based education model empowers girls with the knowledge and skills they need, making education accessible in the rural setup. Join us in this vital mission and become a changemaker for a brighter, more equitable future.
Rural coming back to Rural
  1. At our institutions under the Prashanthi Bala Mandira Trust, we are proud to welcome both boys and girls who have completed their postgraduate studies back to our institutions. This seamless transition marks a significant milestone in sustaining our holistic education model.
  2. We are dedicated to making a profound impact, particularly in the education and empowerment of girls who are often deprived of their right to education. Our idealistic vision is to uplift rural children, providing them with the opportunities they deserve.
  3. Our ambitious goal is to achieve a student-to-teacher ratio of 10:1, with our graduates stepping into the role of educators. We strongly encourage our graduates to clear the National Eligibility Test (NET) to advance their academic careers and join our university faculty. This initiative is crucial to ensure the continuous growth and sustainability of our educational institutions.
  4. We believe that with great privileges and authority come great responsibilities. Our students returning to join our mission not only contribute to our sustainability but also help uphold the core values of our institution.
  5. Our graduates, who hail from rural backgrounds, possess a unique understanding of the challenges faced by rural communities. Their gratitude and sense of duty inspire them to serve the rural poor, just as they were once supported. This reciprocal commitment fortifies our mission, ensuring that our institutions remain beacons of hope and progress for rural India.

Student life

Daily routine on campus.
The day begins and ends with a prayer. The morning sessions in the University begins with the universal prayer, based on the unity of religions. Community singing of Bhajan in the hostels is held every evening. Before retiring for the night, students sit around the altar in their respective accommodation and chant prayers dedicating all their day’s activity to the Divine.

Students have the opportunity to listen to their fellow students, teachers and many important guests on the campus. These guests include men and women who have attained great success in their respective fields – ministers, administrators, industrialists, judges, ambassadors, entrepreneurs, artists and sports persons, amongst others. When students interact with these guests they imbibe the values and importance of the path of devotion to God and the path of goodness and godliness. In addition, weekly study circle sessions take place where spiritual questions are raised and answered.
